Wynonna Judd says her latest work sounds "vintage yet modern." The singer tells Rolling Stone Country she's "going back to the well and starting over" with her next album, which she says will feature "mournful, raw, primal sounds that come from the guts of music."
The country star adds that she's not considering commercial success with this project, and doesn't care if she gets radio airplay or has a hit. Wy explains that she wants this record "to be life-changing," and to inspire listeners to "quit what they're doing and go for something crazy."
The upcoming set will be Wynonna's follow up to her 2009 release Sing: Chapter 1.
